With Thanksgiving just around the corner this coming Thursday and in the midst of finalizing travel plans and dinner menus, it’s hard to believe that opportunities to celebrate the Holiday cheer are right on its heels.  What can locals and visitors look forward to right after the close of Thanksgiving in Lewes and surrounding towns?  Let us at the Julie Gritton Team give you the scoop on what’s to come.

What better way to spread the cheer than to see home after home lit up to the delight of onlookers?  Lewes Lights in partnership with the Children’s Beach House will be kicking off their Lewes Lights Tour on December 3rd.  Come see the town of Lewes come aglow at the Lewes Lights Opening Ceremony on Manila Avenue starting at 5:20 pm.  This year is the Lewes Lights biggest display yet, encompassing the entire Lewes zip code so that viewers have more homes and lights to view than ever.  The map for the full tour will be available on December 1st so that sightseers can have it on hand to plan a viewing route at the conclusion of the ceremony.  Be sure to have Coldwell Banker’s Lewes location on your list of places to stop!  Our very own Josh Gritton, REALTOR® and IT guru, has designed a light display that isn’t just stunning but also dances to the music!  Be sure to tune into 88.1 FM on your radio when you come to visit and enjoy the show!

The Children’s Beach House will be offering a Winter Holiday Celebration which will include cocktails, catering from touch of Italy, entertainment, and both a live and silent auction beginning at 6:30 pm at the conclusion of the Lewes Lights Opening Ceremony on December 3rd.  There will also be other opportunities to visit and support the Children’s Beach House over the course of the weekend by visiting Santa at his workshop to make crafts, decorate cookies and more with the family on December 4th or going to the Happy Holiday Hour with the Boy Band Project on December 5th. To buy tickets for one of these events, please click on the link below.

In addition to seeing homes alight to welcome the holidays, there are several parades to look forward to!  The parade kick-off begins in the Town of Milton on December 1st and will be starting at 7 pm.  Lewes will be hosting its parade on December 4th beginning at 5 pm and the Town of Seaford will be presenting their parade on the same date at 7 pm.  To round up the parades is Rehoboth Beach which will be offering their parade on December 6th at 6 pm.  Be on the lookout for our Coldwell Banker float when you come!  Our Coldwell Banker family and REALTOR® elves have been hard at work building and putting finishing touches on our float and we can’t wait to show it to you.
