It's Time for Fireworks!
Here's a glimpse into the celebrations happening across Delaware!!
“Go Fourth” Lewes Fireworks
Festivities will begin at 9 am tomorrow with activities for the kids, followed by the yearly boat parade beginning at 2 pm on the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal. Fireworks will be launched at dusk from a barge off Lewes Beach so make sure to get there early for prime seating!
Rehoboth Beach Fireworks
Rehoboth will have their fireworks display on Saturday, July 6th and will launch around 9:30 pm. Festivities will begin earlier in the day with a free concert at the bandstand. Fireworks will be launched from the beach near Brooklyn Avenue and be visible from the beach and boardwalk.
Milton
Stop by the Milton Memorial Park for the “Bring Mayberry Back to Milton” Festival! The fun begins at 10 am tomorrow and will run until 2 pm with music, food, and vendors filling the park. Make sure to check out the bike parade where children can show off their bicycles that have been festively decorated. While you are there, come stop by our table and chat with us! While the town of Milton does not have a fireworks display, Broadkill Beach is a prime spot for viewing. You can often see the fireworks from several other cities and even across into Cape May!
Millsboro Stars and Stripes
Venture to Millsboro tomorrow for their Stars and Stripes Celebration! Festivities will take place from 6 pm to 9:30 p.m. Millsboro Little League fields, West State St. Festival includes music, vendors and fireworks at dusk.
Dewey Beach
Dewey Beach will be showcasing their fireworks tomorrow at dusk at Rehoboth Bay
Bethany Beach
Stop by downtown Bethany Beach tomorrow to join them in their biggest party of the year! They will have a parade through downtown with concerts on the Bandstand culminating with fireworks on the beach. For those looking to utilize the Trolly Service, please know it WILL NOT be operating from 11 am to 3 pm during the parade and disassembling of the crowd.
Dover Fourth of July
Dover has a schedule full of events for tomorrow beginning at 10 am with free historic tours at Frist State Heritage Park. Stop by the Old State House at 2 pm to see historical interpreters recite the Declaration of Independence, right near the spot where the Declaration was first read to Dover citizens in 1776 (how cool!). From 4 pm to 8:45 pm there will be music and vendors around Legislative Mall all leading up to the fireworks show at 9:15 pm over Legislative Mall
Wilmington Riverfront Fireworks
Travel up to Wilmington tomorrow for a free event at the Riverfront (10 Cowan St). There will be live music and food to enjoy. Fireworks begin at 9:05 pm launching from a barge north of the USS Battleship North Carolina. Fireworks will be visible from the downtown riverfront.
Hockessin Fireworks
The display in Hockessin begins at dusk tomorrow and fireworks should be visible from all over Hockessin. The main viewing points are Swift Park, Piedmont Baseball Fields, Hockessin Library and Artesian Soccer Fields. Fireworks happening rain or shine with no rain date.
Smyrna and Clayton Fireworks
Neighboring towns of Smyrna and Clayton also have a full day of events. At 9:30 am in Clayton there will be a parade, and then stop by the Smyrna High School parking lot beginning at 7 pm for music and food trucks. Fireworks will be at dusk tomorrow over the little league fields across from the high school. Fun Fact - this is the oldest running fireworks display in the state!!!
Newark
Newark will be showcasing their fabulous fireworks display and the University of Delaware Athletic Complex. Make sure to arrive early to enjoy vendors and entertainment beginning at 6 pm
